Born and raised in Brasil, Rio de Janeiro; JB Muniz has been a filmmaker since 2016, travelling around the globe, pursuing his vision with each and every step on his path.
Unlike a number of directors who can come off as trite or pretentious, Joao prides himself on being a down to earth and humble human being before anything else. This shines through in his work, with an emphasis on connection with both cast and crew. After all... isn't pure, honest emotion and connection what film is about?
JB has completed all kinds of differente types of fashion films, music videos, short films, commercials, and documentaries. He has been trusted to work in projects with brands such as L'Oreal, Vogue, Rock in Rio, World Surf League, Globo, Warner Music, Amazon, Fox Sports, Lollapalooza, Oi, Universal, Sony Music, Budweiser, and more.
Following the path of directors such as Spike Jonze, Antoine Fuqua, and David Fincher, Joao Muniz will utilize his wealth of experience behind a camera and managing sets to make features that both push the envelope and tell genuine stories.

Ao longo dos últimos 5 anos atendi diversos clientes e marcas ligadas a música, esportes e entretenimento.
Entre eles, gravadoras Warner Music, Deck, Universal, canais de TV como Multishow, Bis, Canal OFF, Canal Brasil, Fox Sports, entre outros.
Atuo como filmmaker para a Costa Blanca Films desde 2016, participando de grandes projetos, como séries de surfe para o Canal OFF, séries para a Oi, e outros videos para diversas redes sociais.
Filmmaker da Ferrorama.tv desde 2018, participei de grandes projetos, como coberturas em real time para Rock In Rio, Lollapalooza, Prêmio Multishow, programas e séries para TV, DVDs, entre outros, e ainda fundei a minha produtora de vídeos chamada JB Films.
Além de ter a própria empresa audiovisual, também trabalho como freelancer para algumas produtoras de audiovisual pelo Brasil.
